Course Description
AP Art History offers students the ability to take a college level introductory art history course during high school. Students will examine issues such as the nature of art, art making, and response to art by reading, discussing, researching, analyzing, and making thematic and historical connections. The course is structured around a specific set of artworks that span historical and cultural arenas with the emphasis on global connections, including art from Africa, Oceania, the Americas, Asia, and the Islamic tradition.
